The Society for Human Resource Management - Maine State Council (MESHRM) and Best Companies Group determined the Best Places to Work in Maine through a two-part process. The first part evaluates each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics, worth about 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second consists of an anonymous employee survey measuring the employee experience, worth roughly 75 percent. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings within their designated groups.
