Cross Town Energy Storage is a lithium-ion battery energy storage project in Gorham, Maine, that provides energy and capacity services, increasing the reliability and availability of energy to the New England electric grid. Plus Power, a Texas-based company founded in 2018, awarded Cianbro the energy storage project in 2022.

In 2011, something inspiring began at Cianbro. The Northeast Corridor (NEC) is a crucial rail line serving passenger, commuter, and freight traffic from Boston to Washington, D.C. Many of its bridges, including the Norwalk River Railroad Bridge (also known as the WALK Bridge), are over a century old. Built in 1896, the WALK Bridge is a 564-foot steel truss bridge with four tracks and a 202-foot swing span.
