SAPPI Shutdown: October 2010

"I think it might be the largest boiler outage the company has ever been involved with." That's how Cianbro Project Manager Mike Hilton describes the all-out effort that Cianbro crews have been putting forward at the SAPPI shutdown in Hinckley, Maine. More than 600 team members are on a grueling three week schedule to upgrade the mill's recovery boiler, while tending to other assorted upgrades and maintenance, as well. As always, safety, quality and schedule are all key objectives. Cianbro Senior Project Manager Chris Scott says, "I just want to reiterate that the team we have on site, we're very proud of them. They're putting a lot of work in place."
