Tug and Barge Return to Brewer

The ocean going tug Emma Foss and her barge Columbia Boston are back in Maine waters after delivering the first Cianbro modules for the Motiva refinery expansion project in Texas.  The vessels arrived in Searsport on Tuesday afternoon, May 5th, with plans to head up the Penobscot River to Brewer beginning at sunrise on Wednesday, arriving in Brewer at 8:45 a.m.  In Brewer, the barge offloads two pieces of module equipment (pressure vessels) weighing around 80-thousand pounds apiece.  The next shipment of modules is scheduled to depart Maine in early to mid-June.
