Scope of Work

Cianbro managed and constructed a 540 MW, gas-fired, combined cycle power plant.

Project Details

  • Site Development Project Details:
    • Performed extensive site work to include the following:
    • Cleared and grubbed 18 acres
    • Site-cut 46,000 CY
    • Stripped over 13,600 cubic yards of topsoil
    • Site filled 30,000 CY
    • Exported 40,000 cubic yards of material
    • Foundation excavation at building site consisted of 6,600 cubic yards of material
    • Supplied and placed 17,000 cubic yards of gravel
    • 7,000 cubic yards for large piping that Cianbro placed
    • 1,200 linear feet of 84 inch underground circulating piping
    • Drove 1,700 H-pile (12 inch and 8 in.) totaling 62,000 LF
    • Placed over 24,000 cubic yards of concrete foundations for both the building and equipment
  • Balance of Plant Project Details:
    • Installed two 7 FA gas turbines—weighing 370,000 pounds / each and two generators weighing 540,000 pounds /each
    • Installed two HRSG units
    • Installed one D-11 Steam Turbine
    • Self-performed all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and piping—including 1.2 million linear feet of cable with 30,000 terminations
