After a remarkable weekend operation in November, which resulted in a double replacement of the busy Amtrak railway bridges in Stonington, Connecticut, Cianbro team members received congratulations from Cianbro and Amtrak leaders. The smooth operation was the result of a summer of planning by Project Manager Bill Lovely and his hand-picked team, which all culminated in a rapid roll out of the old spans and a roll in of the new bridges in time to minimize the impact on Amtrak’s crucial Boston to New Haven route.
