The 2009 Go-To List of top contractors has just been released by Roads & Bridges Magazine. The list is the result of a survey conducted by the magazine among more than 10,000 government officials from various levels of government across the United States. The key question for the officials was, "Which contractor do you prefer to work with" in five categories of construction. The categories are: Transportation Projects, Road & Highway Projects, Bridge Projects, Mass Transit Projects, and Airport Projects. Cianbro Corporation was ranked Number Two out of 25 firms named in the survey under the Bridge Project category, second only to Austin Industries, a 130 year old bridge contractor based in Texas.
