Cianbro/Middlesex Joint Venture is constructing the approach span and bascule span superstructure, concrete piers, control house, abutment and retaining walls, and electrical and mechanical equipment for the operation and control of the bascule spans for the Brightman Street Bridge Replacement (Relocated US Route 6). The project is in the City of Fall River and the Town of Somerset, MA.

Cianbro is constructing a pier, a research lab and mechanical building to support oyster cultivation research for the University of Maryland’s Center for Environmental Science Horn Point Laboratory on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

The Cianbro/Middlesex Joint Venture is currently performing work on the new extradosed cable stayed Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge over the Quinnipiac River.  The project includes the installation of the main span footings, west approach ramps, and utility operations on adjacent roadways throughout the site. 

Cianbro is constructing the replacement of the Humpback Bridge over Boundary Channel, including the addition of an acceleration lane to alleviate traffic backups on existing ramps and the 14th Street Bridge in Washington, DC.

Cianbro is rehabilitating the Pennington Avenue Bridge over Curtis Bay, on the Patapsco River. The project includes replacement of the main operating machinery, gearing, electrical equipment, lighting as well as roadway and grating repairs.

Cianbro is constructing a five-mile, 138 kV transmission line extension from Landover, Maryland to Amtrak’s Ivy City Yard in Washington, DC. The project also includes the construction, testing and commissioning of a new 138 kV – 12 kV, single-phase substation at the Ivy City Yard.
 

Cianbro is constructing a 345 kV transmission line for the Southern Loop project including installation of a new 345 kV transmission line and relocation of existing 345 kV and 115 kV interconnection lines.  This project totals 53 miles and includes direct imbedded wood H-frame structures, steel mono-pole structures on anchor bolt foundations, twin bundled 954 ACSR conductor and two OPGW static lines.

Cianbro is demolishing the existing United States Coast Guard (USCG) timber pier and erecting a new concrete bulkhead and pier for three 110 ft USCG Cutters.

Cianbro, along with Joint Venture Partner Brasfield & Gorrie, is constructing a new vertical lift span bridge adjacent to the existing, single-track bridge, located over the Intracoastal Waterway at Mile 357.2, near Galveston, Texas.

Cianbro is reconstructing the nearly century old, single leaf bascule Bates Bridge over the Merrimack River, restructuring the roadway approaches, and reconfiguring two intersections. This project consists primarily of the replacement of the existing bridge with a new bridge located approximately 60 feet downstream. This will allow the existing bridge to remain in service during construction. The proposed bridge will have a moveable span similar to the existing bridge. In addition to the 775 foot long bridge, the project also includes reconstruction of the approach roadways in the City of Haverhill and the Town of Groveland to tie the new bridge alignment in with the existing approach roadways. The approach work extends approximately 500 feet beyond the bridge in Haverhill and 300 feet in Groveland.
