The Administrative Specialist will contribute to and support the business development efforts of the Oil, Gas & Chemical Market.  This person will perform a variety of tasks and provide administrative support to multiple team members. Job Duties:

Provide support for business development through the following job duties:

  • Prepare business development and marketing materials including qualification statements, PowerPoints, newsletter articles, resumes, project profiles, etc.
  • Assist with RFPs/RFQs, etc., including editing, formatting and drafting documents.
  • Provide support to estimators; download and organize RFP/RFQ documents, print drawings, manage subcontractor document plan room, etc.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and prospective and current clients by phone and email
  • Perform basic and extensive research as it relates to the industry, potential projects and owner information. Compile summary of info to share with team.
  • Maintain project photo library and details regarding project activities. Use info to create project profile.
  • Maintain events/tradeshows, etc. calendar, communicate upcoming events to team and complete registrations and related travel needs as requested.
  • Enter and manage data in CRM database
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred and 1-3 years of experience working in a fast pace office setting

The Construction Contracts Manager is an integral member of the Cianbro Contracts Department and works collaboratively with attorney and non-attorney team members inside and outside the Cianbro Contracts Department to ensure that the risks assumed in contracts can be proactively managed through the contract and project lifecycle. Job Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the review of Requests for Proposals, Terms & Conditions, Insurance provisions and support Engineering/Estimating as required in the evaluation of business opportunities.
  • Determine, develop and implement a suitable risk profile for construction services business. Participate in corporate evaluation of alternate project delivery contract strategies and initial project assessment for projects with elevated potential risk.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts with private sector owners and with downstream subcontract service providers and major material suppliers. Participate in routine follow- up to ensure compliance during program execution.

Provide leadership on T&D construction projects within our Power & Energy Team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication and business skills, as well as a thorough understanding of the T&D market & construction means/methods.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assume overall responsibility for all aspects of projects. Provide safety and hands-on leadership to project teams to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
  • Oversee supervision of total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule which includes interfacing with client and AE representatives, other contractors, etc.

  • Identify, initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
  • Take the lead in managing and maintaining relationships with key client representatives within project management, construction management and procurement groups.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and provide support to estimating group in terms of project selection, schedule, approach, resource availability and subcontractors.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS in Construction Management or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction project management on T&D projects.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, means and methods), safety, supervision, estimating, scheduling, and budgeting required.
