Cianbro Accident Prevention Process (CAPP)
Cianbro is the first construction company to implement a behavior-based safety process throughout its organization. Zero at-risk behavior and zero injuries require moving beyond traditional methods of safety management. CAPP creates an environment of safe team member behavior through peer observation, constructive feedback, and regular use of the data obtained to update equipment, practices, and procedures.
CAPP involves all workers in identifying both at-risk and safe behaviors. Rather than focusing exclusively on what team members are doing wrong or incidents that have already occurred, CAPP proactively focuses on work tasks and behaviors that could potentially raise the potential for causing work injuries.
Complimenting Cianbro's successful safety program, CAPP is a non-threatening, no names, continuous improvement process. No one is reprimanded or punished as a result of a CAPP observation.

Our craft training program is designed around the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum, a non-profit foundation dedicated to research and excellence in the construction industry.
